What's New

Shipped features, improvements, and meaningful fixes.

  • Full Report briefs (Beta)

On a saved Full Report, Generate writes a plain-language Report Brief of your positioning, closest comps, and main takeaways. It does not change the neighborhood analysis. Marked Beta while we keep improving the write-up.

  • More of your launch context feeds your score

When you choose a studio most like yours or identify an existing franchise in the concept wizard, those selections now feed the full Greenlight Score. This helps the score reflect who is making the game and whether it is a new idea or part of an established series.

  • Full Reports show the full Greenlight Score

When studio and launch details are available, opening a Full Report now makes sure the studio-adjusted Greenlight Score is attached instead of leaving the report on Preliminary. The report waits briefly while the score arrives, so a hard refresh should no longer be needed.

  • Smoother Update report flow

Update report now checks for an existing matching analysis before showing generation progress. You only see the full progress view when a new run actually starts or when you choose Generate anyway; opening a prior matching report shows a short loading state in the same dialog.

  • Clearer Precise score drivers

On a studio-adjusted Greenlight, Why this score? now shows a table of the main launch factors that moved this score up or down (list price, demand signals, studio history, neighborhood growth and concentration), with everything else grouped into a single remaining-factors row. If factor rows are still loading, you'll see a short loading panel instead of blank sections.

  • Quieter workspace and wizard chrome

Action cards and library tools show less always-on explanation text. Hover a card or Archive/Delete for the gloss; in the concept wizard, tap the ? next to a field label for hints and examples. Chips, word counts, and important warnings stay visible.

  • Easier closest comps and neighborhood metrics

Closest comps show cover art when available and can be filtered by name. Neighborhood metric heroes now carry the Steam traction detail that used to live in a separate busy table—hover a metric for mapping counts and averages without leaving the main report view.

  • Report jobs recover from queue stalls

If a report job gets stuck before processing starts, GameScope now retries the dispatch automatically while explaining the wait. You should no longer need to abandon a report just because its first queue handoff failed.

  • Greenlight scoring and Review polish

Scoring progress expectations better match real wait time, optional fields and Review copy are clearer, and Greenlight Score versus Build analysis is explained without blocking the free score path.

  • Launch platforms feed Precise scoring

Platforms you select in the wizard now count toward Precise Greenlight scoring (how many platforms you plan to ship on), so multi-platform plans are reflected in the studio-adjusted score.

  • Updates page

What's new, known issues, and feedback links live at Updates in the app top bar (or footer). Future shipped features will be listed there between email updates.

  • Full Report briefs (first ship)

Saved Full Reports gained a Generate control for a written summary of positioning and comps. See the September 9 Report Brief (Beta) note for the current experience.

  • Closest comps filters and sort

In the workspace report, closest competitors can be filtered by genre, theme, keyword, mode, and year, and sorted without re-running the analysis. Only Steam-linked titles appear in the comps table when the catalog map is available.

  • Clearer concept cards after long pitches

Concept pitch and core loop have word limits so a long paste no longer overwhelms the Greenlight result card. Your Concept shows title, pitch, genres, and launch date instead of a duplicated summary dump.

  • Comparable titles stay out of retrieval

Games you list as comparables in the wizard are for your reference only. They no longer affect keywords or the neighborhood search, so comps come from catalog similarity rather than the titles you typed.

  • Why this score?

Greenlight Score cards include a short explanation of what the number means for Quick versus Precise paths, without revealing paid Full Report neighborhood metrics.

Known Issues

Issues that could materially affect or confuse your experience. Resolved items move into What's New or are removed.

  • Older concepts may need a re-save after the comparables fix

    Fix in progress

Concepts saved before mid-August 2026 can still store comparable titles inside keywords or storyline. Opening the concept and saving again rebuilds a clean pack; if a Full Report already exists, save creates a new iteration.

Workaround: Open the concept in the wizard, confirm Comparables are only in the Comparables field, then Save. Generate a new Full Report on the updated (or forked) concept if you need a fresh neighborhood.
