Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Useful Research Inc.("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use GameScope—our competitive intelligence and market analysis platform for game developers, publishers, and strategists.
GameScope is in early access. We aim to be transparent about what we collect, why we collect it, and how your concepts and projects stay under your control. This policy complements our Terms of Service.
Account Information
When you sign up, we collect your email address, authentication identifiers from your sign-in provider (for example Google), and basic profile details that provider shares with us. We use Supabase Auth and related infrastructure to manage sessions and restrict access to your account.
Usage and Operational Data
To run GameScope reliably and securely, we collect operational information such as:
- Features you use and actions you take in projects, libraries, and reports
- Report generation activity, background job status, and credit usage
- Technical logs (IP address, browser type, device signals, timestamps)
- Diagnostics used to fix errors, measure performance, and prevent fraud or abuse
- Aggregated or de-identified usage statistics that cannot reasonably be used to identify you or your unreleased concepts
We use this data to authenticate users, operate the product, understand aggregate usage patterns, and protect the service—not to sell your creative work.
Your Concepts and Uploaded Content
Your ideas matter. Game concepts, project notes, report settings, titles, and other materials you enter remain yours. GameScope does not claim ownership, and we do not sell your concepts or project content.
We process your content only to provide, maintain, and secure the service for you, and to improve reliability, security, performance, and product functionality for your account—such as storing libraries, running analyses you request, and keeping your workspace available. We do not use your private concepts or project materials to train general-purpose AI models for unrelated products.
Authorized personnel may review account, project, input, generated analysis, usage, billing, credit, and diagnostic information when necessary to provide support, investigate errors, maintain security, improve service reliability and quality, administer credits or billing, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
Projects and concepts are private to your account by default. Other GameScope users cannot view your workspace unless you intentionally share or export materials outside the product.
We process your concepts and project content as described in this policy and our Terms of Service.
Project Privacy and Sharing
Analyses, reports, and project workspaces stay within your account unless you choose to share them. We do not expose your private projects or concepts to other customers or use them as content we license to others.
Access to your data is limited to what is needed to operate GameScope for your account, including infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.
We do not disclose one customer's private report content to other customers, and we do not use customer confidential report content to train unrelated foundation models.
You decide what to download, copy, or send to teammates and partners. After content leaves GameScope, you control how it is distributed. We use access controls and standard security practices, but no online service can guarantee perfect confidentiality—please use sound judgment for unreleased titles and sensitive strategy.
Cookies and Analytics
Essential cookies. Required for sign-in, session management, security, and preferences (such as theme). GameScope may not work correctly without them.
Analytics cookies. We use analytics tools (for example Vercel Analytics) to understand aggregate usage—page views, feature usage, and performance. Analytics data is generally collected in a form that does not identify you by name in our dashboards, though providers may receive technical identifiers (such as IP address or device data) subject to their own policies. We use analytics to operate and improve the product, not to sell your concepts or project content.
You can limit non-essential cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without essential cookies. We do not currently show a separate cookie consent banner in early access.

Service Providers (Subprocessors)

We may update this list as our stack changes. Enterprise customers may request additional detail under a separate agreement.
International Transfers
GameScope is operated from the United States. Your information may be processed in the U.S. and in other countries where our service providers maintain facilities. Those providers may process data outside your home country under their own terms and applicable law.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your concepts or project content.
Data Retention
We keep account and content data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request account or data deletion; we will honor requests subject to operational and legal requirements.
Security
We apply administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards—including access controls and encryption in transit where appropriate. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
If we become aware of a security incident involving your personal information that we believe requires notice under applicable law, we will notify you as required. We may also notify you when we reasonably believe notification is appropriate to protect your account.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us below to submit a request; we may verify your identity before responding.
